A Spring Engagement Session at San Antonio Botanical Gardens | San Antonio Photographer
Kayla and Mason are getting married at the beautiful Contigo Ranch this coming Winter, but they wanted something a little different for their engagement session. Kayla loves flowers and plants, so San Antonio Botanical Gardens was the obvious choice for them! We also had PERFECT timing for the mountain laurels and the trumpet vines that bloom once per year! It was truly magical.
Like every couple I photograph, Kayla warned me that they weren’t models and didn’t know what they were doing. I assured her that this is my specialty and that I would coach them the whole way. WOW, they looked fabulous! I always say the engagement session 100% depends on the groom’s attitude. If he’s okay with snuggling on camera that’s all that matters. haha. And Mason did exactly what he needed to do. I am OBSESSED with their images, and my only regret is not blogging this session sooner! I can’t wait for their wedding!
Keep scrolling for my favorites (there are only 80 of them ).
It’s hard to imaging now, but when we did this session the temperature started around 40 degrees!
As a fiddle fig admirer (I still don’t have my own because I’m scared I’m going to kill it haha) I was in awe of this spot at SABOT.
Somehow their outfits coordinated with every single spot we stopped at in the botanical gardens.
The Mountain Laurels were showing up and showing out! Fun fact: These tree/bushes are evergreen and bloom like this in early Spring.
The sweet lady in charge of caring for these vines said this was the best bloom she had seen in years!
